Adult Enrollment

Adults of all ages are welcome at Drive Academy. We have special training courses for those who are new drivers as well as refresher courses for other circumstances. A complete course of adult driver's training consists of class room and specified program hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.

Register a.) Select a course package that applies to your driving training needs and/or call the Drive Academy main office helpline. Note: A $100 deposit will be required to reserve your seating in any scheduled training class.

Illinois Instruction Permit a.) After completion of four (4) hours of class room instruction, Adults are eligible to apply for their Illinois Instruction Permit. b.) Proof of Name and Date of Birth - Certified copy of birth certificate and/or a valid passport. Note: Hospital birth certificates or photocopies will not be accepted. c.) Proof of Residency - Transcript, bank statement or utility bill..etc. d.) $20 application fee and you must bring above identification documents with you to the DMV. e.) Adults that are issued an Illinois Instruction Permit must provide a copy of their permit for record retention.

Behind-the Wheel (BTW) Driving Adults can schedule a Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) training lesson after they have; - Completed a minimum of 4 hours of classroom instruction - Obtain an instruction permit from the Secretary of State DVM - Provided a copy of their Instruction permit to the Drive Academy main office Note: Adults must have their instruction permit with them at all times when taking a scheduled driving lesson.

Getting Your License When obtaining a Drivers License, Adults must provide the following items; - Instruction Permit - Proof of Name and Date of Birth - Automobile Insurance Card - Proof of Residency - Automobile Registration - Signed Social Security Card
