30-Hour Driver’s Ed
8-Hour Behind-the-Wheel
Solo Program
- This package includes a complete 30-hour driver’s education classroom course (state requirement)
- Students will receive eight hours of state-required behind-the-wheel lessons with one of our certified, state-licensed instructors (to begin after they have obtained their learner’s permit)
- Our cars are equipped with dual-control braking systems for maximum safety
- Detailed progress reports are made available after each driving lesson

6-Hour Behind-the-Wheel
Buddy Program
- Buddy/partner is required for enrollment
- Students enroll as partners/buddies who will observe one another’s driving lessons
- This package includes a complete 30-hour driver’s education classroom course (state requirement)
- Students will receive six hours of state-required behind-the-wheel lessons and six hours of buddy observation with one of our certified, state-licensed instructors (to begin after they have obtained their learner’s permit)

- Students may use one of our dual-control vehicles to take their road test
4-hour BTW Stick Shift
- Students must have a learner’s permit or a driver’s license before enrolling in this course
- Our instructors have extensive stick-shift instruction backgrounds using our proven methods
- MyDrive’s approach is built to accommodate and support nervous or first-time drivers
- All vehicles are regularly inspected by Secretary-of-State-approved facilities to ensure that they meet all safety benchmarks
- Dual-brake system for maximum safety
- Students often use the first lesson to become familiar with controlling a stick-shift vehicle and their second lesson for practicing to build muscle memory and confidence

No one can guarantee how quickly or slowly things will move at the SOS, but in general Fridays are more crowded than other days, and afternoons are more crowded than mornings.
It is strongly recommended that anyone who needs to visit a Secretary of State facility should make an appointment in advance at the SOS’s scheduling site. Permit-test or road-test appointments should be scheduled with time to spare.
