We offer the teen road test at our offices for students under 18 who hold a valid permit and have achieved a minimum score of 80% in drivers ed for teens classroom training. This official testing option enables teens to complete their road exam and then proceed to the DMV for license issuance. Appointments must be scheduled at least three days in advance and students are required to meet all eligibility criteria before booking.
- Parent must sign the State-Required Release Form.
- Student must have received a grade of A or B in Driver’s Education Classroom.
- Students are not eligible for this test if they:

- Have failed their first DMV road test attempt.
In these cases, the test must be scheduled directly at the DMV, or - Have not held their permit for at least 9 months.
- Once an appointment has been made:
- Do your absolute best not to cancel, as this may result in a “no show” mark on your driving record.
- Appointments are entered in both the State Platform and our internal booking system.
- Students must show up at the time booked with us (ignore any SOS confirmation email showing a different time).
- There is a 9.6% chance (3 out of 31) of being selected for a random re-test for quality control by the SOS.
- Students must still go to the DMV to take their license picture.
- Students must bring their original Illinois Instruction Permit.
- Driving lesson cancellations with least than 24 hours in advance will be subject to a cancellation fee of $60.
- Scheduling must be made at least 3 days in advance from the date of the call.
